I was born in 1950 at the end of the baby boom era. In my childhood,
I made a miniature house out of used chopsticks.
I was very interested in design and art, so in high school I joined
the fine arts club.
My father and mother ran a fresh fish shop and catering business, so I decided to learn
cooking after high school.
My first job was as a cook on The Brazil, a luxury liner. I worked there for two years.
During this time, I visited several different countries observing their buildings, statues and other
pieces of fine art.
Although it is written in Japanese, the article below which was published in a local
magazine in 2007, quite fairly tells the reader about me.
